200 COUNTY ROAD 43
MEEKER, COLORADO
A big beautiful log home six miles southeast of
Meeker, on the Mesa, on 7.52 irrigated acres at the intersection of County
Road 4 and County Road 43, with 100 shares of the Highland Ditch, which
flows through the property. There are two separately fenced pastures, a
large well landscaped yard around the home with several pine and aspen trees,
a graveled driveway with a circle drive in the front of the home, and plenty
of other parking. South of the home is a horse setup with two pole corrals,
two tack rooms with a covered and graveled run between them, and covered
hay storage.
This property has very good access and excellent
views.
This exceptionally beautiful, 4,246 sq. ft., log
home was built in 1994 with local logs.
The main level has 2,132 sq. ft., plus an attached
900 sq. ft. heated 2 car log garage with 2 insulated overhead doors each
with automatic opener.
The living room has a cathedral ceiling with big
log beams, 2 ceiling fans, an etched glass front door opening onto a covered
front porch on the west side of the home, and French doors opening onto
a deck on the east side of the home and the back yard. A staircase with
log handrails leads down into the basement. A raised flagstone platform
on the north wall of the living room, with a flagstone wall behind it, has
a real nice handmade wood burning stove.
The kitchen is very nice with plenty of cabinet
and countertop space, a breakfast bar, and good quality appliances. The
dining area is a half-round, turret type, extension from the home with lots
of windows. Also on the main level is a big laundry room and 3/4 bathroom
between the kitchen and the garage, two bedrooms on the north side of the
home, one is a turret type extension of the home like the dining room, and
a full bathroom between the two bedrooms.
The 2,114 sq. ft. garden level basement has a nice
big family room, a hobby room, a storage room, and two bedrooms, one being
the master bedroom. The big master bedroom has a huge walk-in closet and
dressing area. The beautiful master bathroom has a ceramic tile floor, an
elevated garden tub with ceramic tile around it and whirlpool jets inside
it. There is a beautiful double sink and a separate shower stall.
Master Bathroom * * * * Basement family room.
This is a beautiful home with everything top of
the line, including the windows, the carpeting, the appliances, the window
treatments, and the finish work. The home is heated with a gas radiant,
in-floor, heating system. This is the most efficient type of heating system.
The water well is not deep enough to supply water
to the property all year around. It works good in the summer and fall when
the irrigation canals on the Mesa are flowing and bringing the ground water
level up. In the winter the owners haul water from Meeker and put it into
a 1,200 gallon underground tank near the home. Water is then pumped from
the tank into the home. They have to fill the tank once a week through the
winter. The irrigation water is pumped out of the Highland Ditch to sprinkle
the grounds.
